During a working trip to the North Kazakhstan region, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin visited the Parasat Lyceum school, where he got acquainted with innovations in the educational process of rural schools and the implementation of collective-contractual relations.
Beskolskaya Lyceum school opened its doors 17 years ago. Education here is conducted in the state language. 313 children receive primary and secondary education here. Despite the fact that the school is rural, the educational process in its content is in no way inferior to the best metropolitan institutions of secondary education. Students of the Beskolskaya Parasat school will not be surprised by an interactive whiteboard and virtual laboratories for the study of exact sciences.
According to the director of the educational institution Sagat Eleukina, the school administration focuses on continuous professional development of teachers.
“In our rural school, we focus on the qualifications of teachers. Today there are 7 masters, 4 undergraduates, 2 masters in the teaching staff. We pay special attention to young specialists, create conditions for their professional growth. Lessons for schoolchildren are taught by winners and prize-winners of teacher competitions. We are proud of the results of the knowledge obtained by our schoolchildren and graduates – children successfully enter higher educational institutions of the country, and most of them are grant holders,” said the director of Parasata.
Her story was continued by the chairman of the primary trade union organization Sabira Ibraeva.
“81 people work at the school, 76 of them are members of the trade union. For 2021-2023, we have signed a collective agreement with a social partner – the school director. Teachers – winners of district, regional and republican competitions are provided with additional days off in addition to working holidays. An educational center for preschool children has been opened at the school, priority is given to the children of our school’s employees when enrolling in it,” the chairman of the trade union committee said.
Accompanying the Chairman of the FTURK, the head of the Republican Branch Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, Aigul Mukasheva, told colleagues about the measures taken by the trade union to protect the rights and interests of the teaching community.
“The main direction of our work is legal assistance. Last year, through participation in the work of conciliation commissions, we resolved 101 individual labor disputes, and in the first half of 2022 we helped resolve 223 labor disputes. In 2021, thanks to the intervention of our trade union, about one and a half billion funds unpaid by employers were returned to teachers – these are allowances for additional workload and recalculation of vacation payments. In the first half of this year, 1 billion 446 thousand tenge was returned,” Aigul Mukasheva said.
Summing up the meeting at the village school, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin thanked the staff of the educational institution for the successful implementation of the principles of social partnership and noted the role of the school in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and the development of a versatile, competitive personality in every child.
“Today’s schoolchildren are the future of our people, our country. The further development of the state depends on what values we will pass on to the younger generation today. The school was and remains the source for the spiritual development of the previous and subsequent generations of our society. The teaching community makes up almost a third of the total membership of the Federation of Trade Unions, so we have supported and will continue to support measures to promote the interests of teachers and create favorable working conditions for them,” Satybaldy Dauletalin stressed.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the FTURK presented a color printer to the staff of the Parasat Lyceum school. Also, through the branch trade union, the best teachers of the school were awarded vouchers for sanatorium treatment in trade union health resorts.
