Today, the office of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting of the Chairman of the FPRK Satybalda Dauletalin with a senior specialist in the activities of workers of the ILO regional office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Gocha Alexandria.
The parties discussed the next agenda: on Friday, the International Forum of Social Partners “New Social Contract: Fair labor Relations”, organized by the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan.
Satybaldy Dauletalin noted that the New social Contract adopted at the V Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation in Melbourne, with its implementation by all members of the ITUC, will strengthen the system of social partnership.
“For the Federation of Trade Unions, a member of the ITUC, the development of a social partnership system is a priority. At the Forum, we plan, together with social partners, to hold an open dialogue on further steps in improving the mechanisms for regulating and resolving problems in the social and labor sphere,” stressed Satybaldy Dauletalin.
In addition, the Head of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who chairs the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian countries this year, spoke about plans to integrate national trade union centers within the framework of the SPECA.
According to him, this year it is planned to hold two sub-regional forums dedicated to the development of the youth trade union movement in the region, the integration of educational processes and the exchange of best trade union practices.
In turn, the Senior specialist in the activities of workers of the ILO Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Gocha Alexandria, supported the initiatives of the Federation and noted the leading positions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the ratification of ILO Conventions No. 155 “On Occupational Safety and Health and the Working Environment” and No. 187 “On the basics promoting occupational safety and Health”.
“At the time, the Republic of Kazakhstan ratified ILO Conventions No. 155 and No. 187, recognized by the International Labor Organization as fundamental. This should be an example for other States in the Central Asian region. Having experience, within the framework of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries, you could provide valuable consulting assistance to colleagues,” said Gocha Alexandria.
Continuing the dialogue, Satybaldy Dauletalin and Gocha Alexandria discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint projects of the ILO and the FPRC.
