On Monday, September 28, the results of the meeting of the General Council of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, conducted by survey, were summed up. The main issue on the agenda was the election of members of the FPRK Executive Committee and Vice-chairmen of the Federation.
The composition of the collegial Executive body, the Executive Committee, was formed in accordance with the changes made to the Charter of the FPRK at the next XXVI Congress. Thus, 60% of the seats, or 9 people in the Executive Committee, are representatives of Republican branch trade unions that pay mandatory contributions on time and in full; 26% – according to sub – paragraph 1 of paragraph 45, paragraph 53 of the Charter of the FPRK – four members of the Executive Committee are ex officio and for the first time one representative from the Commission on working women and the youth Council of the FPRK is included in the collegial body.
Members of the General Council also take into account the gender balance: 45% of the updated Executive Committee are women. For comparison, in 2019, women members of the Executive Committee made up only 12 percent of the total number of members.
In addition, according to the results of voting for the next five years, Deputy Chairmen of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan were elected: first Deputy – Mukhtar Tinikeyev, deputies – Gulnara Zhumageldieva and Nurlan Uteshev.
Chairman of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin, addressing the members of the General Council, noted that the XXVI Congress of the fprc adopted the strategy for 2020-2025, which defines the main priorities for the development of the trade Union movement and tasks for building effective social partnership to improve mechanisms for protecting the rights and interests Of labor people. The head of the FPRK wished the members of the General Council fruitful work on the implementation of the main directions of the strategic document.
The next meeting of the FPRK General Council is scheduled for October 21, 2020.
