Today, on February 11, an online training seminar was held with the participation of trade union activists of Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions.
Opening the seminar, Deputy Chairman of the FTURK Gulnara Zhumageldiyeva noted that the Federation of Trade Unions pays special attention to improving the professional level of trade union personnel.
In her speech, she reported on the proposals of the Federation of Trade Unions announced during the meeting of the Republican Tripartite Commission on Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor Relations.
We are talking about the need to revise the mechanisms for determining the wage system, the legislative regulation of the norm on the annual indexation of the minimum wage, the consolidation of the employee’s right to suspend work in case of non-fulfillment by the employer of its obligations on remuneration, etc.
“The Federation of Trade Unions proposed to take systematic measures to protect the rights and interests of employees. The announced initiatives will contribute to satisfying society’s demands for justice, increasing the effectiveness of the system of checks and balances in relation between the employee and the employer,” Gulnara Zhumageldieva said.
The educational part of the seminar was continued by the Deputy Director of the Department for Organizational and Control Work of the FTURK Lyazzat Eszhanova.
She told the participants about the role of a leader in the trade union movement.
“A trade union leader is the backbone of all trade union work. Of course, this is the person whose competence, intelligence and knowledge are the guarantor of the successful work of trade unions,” the speaker stressed.
In her speech, Lyazzat Eszhanova focused on the primary skills and competence of a trade union leader, effective mechanisms of influence in communication and the formation of a positive image of the leader of the trade union movement.
“An important component of the work of a professional leader is communication with people, the ability to build a negotiation process. In this regard, trade union activity should be based on the continuous improvement of professional skills,” Lyazzat Eszhanova stressed.
An equally important factor in trade union work is personal qualities.
The lecturer emphasized that the effectiveness of work is also achieved through patience, hard work, sociability and perseverance of the individual.
Using concrete examples, she spoke about the application of the basic laws of interpersonal communication.
The audience thanked the organizers for the opportunity to participate in educational projects of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The participants noted the practical significance of the seminar and expressed their intention to apply the acquired skills in their daily work.
As reported, training seminars for trade union activists will be held on an ongoing basis.
