During the working trip of the delegation of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the North Kazakhstan region, the Trade Union Center of the region hosted a presentation of the work of the branch of the FTURK Legal Clinic with the participation of the Chairman of the Federation Satybalda Dauletalin and the Chairman of the North Kazakhstan Regional Court Yerbol Zhangazin.
On behalf of the Chairman of the FTURK, branches of the Legal Clinic were opened in all regions of the country in April this year. The main task of the branches of the Legal Clinic is to provide free advice to trade union members on the protection and realization of their legitimate rights and interests.
Chairman of the North Kazakhstan Regional Court Yerbol Zhangazin thanked the Federation of Trade Unions for effective cooperation with the courts of the region on issues of pre-trial settlement of labor conflicts.
“We have been working closely with the Federation of Trade Unions since 2018, when we jointly launched a project to open Reconciliation Centers “Tatulasu Ortalyga”. The opening of branches of Yurkliniki has expanded the possibilities of our cooperation in favor of protecting the interests of citizens,” said Yerbol Zhangazin.
Continuing the topic of joint work with the courts, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin noted the effectiveness of the Legal Clinic.
“Since the opening of the branches of Yurklinika, more than 2,500 appeals have been received from employees of enterprises, most of which concerned social and labor relations, wage issues, illegal actions by employers. To date, with the assistance of trade union lawyers and mediators, about two thousand of the received appeals have been positively resolved. Negotiations with social partners are underway on the remaining ones,” the Head of the FTURK said.
According to a certain schedule, not only lawyers and mediators, but also deputies of representative bodies, the Majilis and the leadership of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan conduct the reception of citizens in the Yurklinik.
This time, the reception of citizens in the North Kazakhstan branch of Yurkliniki was held by the first Deputy Chairman of the FTURK Mukhtar Tinikeev.
Mukhtar Tinikeev was consulted by members of the primary trade union organizations of the energy industry, the education system and the branch trade union of health workers “SENIM”. The First Deputy Chairman of the FTURK answered the questions of colleagues and explained the basic norms of labor and trade union legislation.
Meanwhile, employees of the Yurkliniki branch in the North Kazakhstan region considered 290 appeals, legal and advisory assistance was provided to all those who applied.
