Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin took part in the final meeting of the Republican Public Headquarters of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during which the results of the work carried out during the campaign period were discussed.
Chief of Staff Yerlan Koshanov, opening the meeting, noted that the presidential elections were held in full compliance with the law and international norms.
He stressed that the convincing victory of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the elections is an indicator of high public confidence in the President and the course of his reforms. According to him, the elections united all the parties and public organizations that joined the People’s Coalition into a single team.
Yerlan Koshanov thanked all members of the People’s Coalition for the work done, noting that the work of the People’s Coalition is not being completed and the socio-political forces that have joined the Coalition will take an active part in the process of implementing the Election program of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin congratulated colleagues on the overall victory in the presidential elections.
Summarizing the work of trade unions during the pre–election period, the Chairman of the FTURK focused on two main aspects – the high demand of society for justice and the real effect of the work of the People’s Coalition.
Based on the announced conclusions, Satybaldy Dauletalin proposed to develop and implement a National Decent Work Program in Kazakhstan.
“The joint work of parties and public organizations with different interests, programs and goals was very effective in such a difficult time. In general, the meetings held showed that the population, especially among ordinary workers, has a demand for decent work, wages and ensuring safe working conditions. I think that the President gave answers to these questions in his election program and took a worthy place in the hearts of voters. There is a lot of work ahead. We agree that we will work together to implement the tasks set. In my opinion, we need a National Decent Work Program in our future work. I propose to consider these issues,” suggested Satybaldy Dauletalin.
In addition, he called on representatives of political parties to pay serious attention to the needs and interests of the working people.
“Parliamentary elections are ahead. Today, the Federation of Trade Unions unites about 2 million workers. The development and prosperity of our country depends on ordinary workers. Taking advantage of the presence of party representatives, I would like to note that the Federation of Trade Unions is ready to support if your election programs are focused on protecting the interests of the Labor Person,” the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan stressed.
He also informed the participants of the meeting about the restoration of the membership of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the International Trade Union Confederation and shared the feedback of international experts on the victory in the elections of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
“During the elections, the delegation of the Federation of Trade Unions took part in the V World Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation in Australia, where the issue of restoring our membership was considered. It is important to note that, congratulating us on the victory of Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, foreign colleagues demonstrated deep respect for our President. In the international arena, he is perceived as an outstanding politician and diplomat. I think this is a great success for our country and our people,” Satybaldy Dauletalin added.
The first cosmonaut, “Halyk Kaharmany” Toktar Aubakirov, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kazakhstan “Ak Zhol” Azat Peruashev, head of the People’s Party of Kazakhstan Ermukhamet Yertysbayev, public figure Zhaksybek Kulekeyev, President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan Banu Nurgazieva, Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan Ulykbek Esdaulet, ·famous lawyer Bakytzhan Bazarbek, head of Pavlodar the regional public headquarters Ilya Terenchenko, the head of the youth association “Qazaqstan Team” Olzhas Suleimenov and others.
It was noted that during the period of agitation, supporters of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited 42 cities and more than 5,000 rural settlements. 24 thousand campaigning events were held with coverage of 3 million. voters. During the meetings, more than 40 thousand suggestions and wishes of citizens were collected. Members of the People’s Coalition supported the proposal to continue work on the implementation of the reforms of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
